Using the Management Console, you can filter records to make it easier to manage and monitor large numbers of users and groups. When your system reaches the level of thousands of users or hundreds of groups, displaying all of them in the Management Console can drain system resources, slowing performance. Instead, the Management Console provides filtering options that help locate and open specific records without impacting performance.
When you first open a long list of users or groups, you might see a partial list followed by the words, “Incomplete list.” To find a particular name or set of names in a long or truncated list, use the filtering options.
To filter user or group lists:
Note: If you enter text in either the Name or Email fields, an “(X)” button appears to the right. Click this button to clear the field of any text, if needed.
| All Users | Lists all users in the system (the default) |
| All Scalix users | Lists all Scalix users, whether Premium or Standard |
| Scalix Premium users | Lists those users who log in to the Enterprise Edition system or use one of the 25 “Premium” accounts on a Community Edition system |
| Scalix Standard users | Lists only users who log in to a Community Edition system with Scalix Web Access or an IMAP mail client; or who log in as Standard users on an Enterprise Edition system |
| Internet users | Lists all users without a local mailbox, but whose addresses are included in the Scalix directory. Non-Scalix users appear in the list with an associated icon |
| Logged in users | Lists all users currently connected to Scalix |
| New Users | Lists all users added to the system during this session |
| Modified users | Lists all users modified during the current session |
| Admin users | Lists all "administrative access" users (whatever the level of permissions) |
TIP: Combine the filters to find what you are looking for— Pick a “Server” or a “Node”, then pick a record “Type”, and finally, type part of a name.
