Wed Jun 21 12:33:45 MDT 2000	Eric J. Bowersox <ebowersox@jabber.com>

* The autoresponse message configured in the configuration file now
gets all excess whitespace and newlines stripped out.

* icq-transport now tries to compensate for clients that fail to encode their
text properly as UTF-8. (Are you listening, DizzyD? FIX GABBER!)

* Much more use of log_error is made to report failures in libicq-erbo
  functions.

Fri Jun 16 12:08:53 MDT 2000	Eric J. Bowersox <ebowersox@jabber.com>

* jabber:iq:register will now not send back its response to a new registration
until after we have properly logged into ICQ, to catch "bad password"
  errors.

* Took out another ICQ failure message, as per Andre's request

* Timer messages in conjunction with PTH_EVENT_FUNC have been eliminated,
and replaced by a message-passing system for inter-thread communications
(shamelessly stolen from the Windows and OS/2 message queue concept). As
a side benefit, the code that handed jpackets to the individual connection
threads has been adapted to use this mechanism too.

* Time quantum and "soft limit" for keepalive events has been modified.

* CVS installation instructions supplied by Deech Mestel, <dj@free-source.com>,
in the "INSTALL.cvs" file. Thanks, dude!

where they shouldn't be - fixed

  freed :-(

* took out the message that said "The ICQ transport kicked your connection
offline"...maybe now I'll quit getting angry messages from Andre about it

* also made KeepAlive packets attempt to send every minute, as threading
could keep them from being sent even that often and they *MUST* be sent
  every 2 minutes

* added <key> tag support for jabber:iq:register and jabber:iq:search

* added better handling of URL messages between Jabber and ICQ

* added config file functionality to set the firewall port range the way the
ICQ client lets you set it

Thu Apr 27 12:57:58 MDT 2000	Eric J. Bowersox <ebowersox@jabber.com>

* turned on the sending of termination messages when a connection is killed as

  of PTH_EVENT_SELECT

Thu Apr 20 17:49:30 MDT 2000	Eric J. Bowersox <ebowersox@jabber.com>

parameter - this should eliminate the nasty crash on startup that kstar

* AUTH_REQUEST "reason" messages now go through CRLF translation and charset
  translation

* libxode now contains genhash.c, removed it from these sources

* removed references to SIGUSR1 (used by pth library internally)

* added main.c "idle thread" to try and solve kstar's problems

* added "offline contacts buffer" support (for use in receiving <presence>
  from users that are offline)

* status change messages are not sent to ICQ if we are changing to the
same status as we had previously

* IQ error messages now use numeric error codes

* we now send back error and other messages if we get messages, subscribe
requests, etc., for an ICQ user from someone who is not registered

Jabber side and Windows-1252 charset on the ICQ side

  as per wastiee

* pass <status> from <presence type="subscribe"> as authentication reason
and authentication message "reason" as <status> for subscribe message
  (wastiee)

* removed extra <presence type="subscribe"> messages, though they will come
back if this starts causing problems with the ICQ contact list

Mon Mar 27 10:30:35 MST 2000	Eric J. Bowersox <ebowersox@corp.webb.net>
