PROJECT

	Hybris, version 0.5.0

REQUIREMENTS

	- a C compiler (if you compile source code)
	- including one of two display plug-ins into the compilation:
		- the NCurses module (text mode, unix, telnet, xterm)
		- the ConIO module (text mode, MSDOS, Windows 4)

this is a significant step down from 0.4.0 which required much
	more.

INSTALLATION

	1. Uncompress/unarchive the file in some local directory of yours.

Rationale: this is a pre-alpha release that's not ready for
system-wide use, so no need to install it in /usr/local or /opt or
	/opt/hybris ...

	2. Preconfigure the system. It involves that you make small
modifications the file "Makefile". Most changes should be
in the first lines of the file. This is for choosing the compiler
(either GNU gcc style or Borland tcc style) and the display type
(either Berkeley ncurses style or Borland style) and other details
like the processor type, favoring speed over size, etc.

	3. Compile the system. You will type "make". then Makefile will
be activated, and the main goal ("all") will be examined. "all"
will generate an executable for you, if the Makefile tells
enough about how to do it (well, it works here!)

	4. Hybris is now ready for testing. Make sure you execute
everything from the current directory (the main directory of the
Hybris project). Actually for this version it's not a problem,
but Hybris will soon have its data files (help, scripts,
	document descriptors)

NOTES

Hybris doesn't have a configuration file nor any configuration
hardcoding, such as the hardcoding of a directory like
"/home/foo/hybris" or "/opt". It just uses the current
directory. This will change in the future, as the program evolves.
